Access Statement

Introduction

Eversleigh Woodland Lodges are six purpose built pine lodges and a swimming pool set in 6 acres of grounds.

Pre-Arrival

	We have an extensive website with pictures of inside and outside of the lodges.
	Bookings and enquiries can be made one of three ways; either via the website contact us page, by calling direct or by emailing us.
	All guests are provided with comprehensive directions and details of the area after payment is received. Details of the location can be found on our website. The nearest airport is Gatwick , 70 miles away. The lodges are located in a rural area, 5 miles from M20 motorway Junction 10. There is no public transport near to the site; therefore access is only gained by car/taxi. Ashford International Station is 5 miles distant and Hamstreet Station is 2 miles away.

Arrival & Reception & Car Parking Facilities

	The main entrance is from Hornash Lane, the right hand of the two drives. Parking is on the right and Reception is approx 5 metres.
	The Reception is situated at the front of the site. The Reception is open daily from 9am to 7pm. There is a step into Reception area. The Receptionist will assist with filling out the register if required.
	The lodges are located in a pedestrian area incorporating other lodges on site. On arrival guests may take there vehicle into the pedestrian area to unload their luggage and then the vehicle is to be parked in the car park which is approximately 30 metres from the lodges and then again on day of departure to re-load luggage. To ensure safety of children At all other times there is foot access only from the car park. Guests with mobility difficulties will be allocated a lodge nearest to the car park and car parking spaces will be reserved. Assistance is available on request to carry shopping etc.

Main Entrance

	There is one step into the lodge and all accommodation is on one floor. The entrance door is wide enough to accept a wheelchair and a ramp can be provided on request.
	Each lodge has a lounge / kitchen / dining area / 2 bedrooms and 1 shower room all on ground floor level. The floors are carpeted. The kitchen/dining area has floor covering and the shower room is tiled. The shower is not at floor level and has 1 step up. An extra step can be provided on request.
	There is an information manual in each lodge.

Seating Area

	Fully carpeted with three piece suite and coffee table
	TV with inbuilt video and Freesat SKY system, remote controls

Radio/CD player

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas

	Lodges have carpet in bedrooms. All bed linen is polycotton and there are pillows and quilts with mattress protectors and pillow protectors. All bedrooms have bedside tables with lamps for night reading. Extra blankets are available.
	There is access from a wheelchair from both sides of bed in double bedroom. Access to twin bed is more restricted.

Shower-room & WC

	Shower rooms in lodges contain: 1 toilet, 1 stand alone shower cubicle and 1 wash basin. The shower is not at floor level and has 1 step up.
	Transfer from wheelchair to WC is not possible without assistance.
	All shower rooms have heated towel rails.

Self-Catering Kitchen

Kitchens in lodges have units of standard height, fridge, microwave, oven and hobs. Fire extinguishers and fire blankets are located in the kitchen areas of the lodges. Smoke alarms are fitted in the lodges.

Laundry

A laundry room is situated near the Reception are. It has 2 washing machines and I tumble drier. Baskets are available. Washing lines are provided near the lodges as a shared amenity.

Games Room

The games room is situated near Reception and has 2 table tennis table and 2 football tables. There is also an extensive selection of leaflets for attractions in Kent and nearby Sussex

Leisure Facilities - Swimming Pool

	The swimming pool is 9m x 4m x 1.25m deep, there is one step into the building. Access into the water is by vertical ladder only.
	The swimming pool is available from 9am to 7pm. The swimming pool is not supervised. All children under the age of 15 must be supervised by a responsible adult in the pool and area.

Outdoor Facilities

	The site is mainly level. All the roadways are smooth concrete and suitable for wheelchair use
	The lodges have a concrete patio furnished with outdoor tables/chairs and a BBQ for guests’ use. The BBQ should be used away from the lodge walls and not beneath the front overhang.
	Swings in the grassed children’s play area are suitable for up to age 10. Children must be supervised on the play equipment.

There are lawns and wooded areas for guests to enjoy

Additional Information

	Pets are not accepted
	There is a NO SMOKING policy in place in all lodges.
